Change sound patch when changing songs?

Hi @Filipe Michael (CEO) , I was daydreaming (foot dreaming?) for a few hours on my commute today and realized that in addition to your comment above (allowing program changes on each chord progression, e.g., chorus, verse), there are a few features that would open a world of possibilities for the app. 1) allow chord progressions to send on different MIDI channels

2) send MIDI clock on song change

3) AUv3 and IAA support (I'm less personally invested in this, but I feel more people would try Dream Foot and the community would expand)

I feel that these features would be useful for making a live performance more dynamic and expressive. A few examples below:

1) we can have our verse on MIDI channel 1 triggering a pad sound in iSymphonic, then switch to our chorus progression (on MIDI channel 2) triggering a string sound in iSymphonic

2) we can send midi out to steppolyarp, triggering on arpeggio preset for the prechorus playing keys in iSymphonic, then switch to the chorus, and have the program change trigger steppolyarp into a different arpeggio preset for the chorus, with another sound in iSymphonic - then when we switch to another song, the MIDI clock from Dream Foot (master) adjusts the tempo in steppolyarp (slave) so that the arpeggio for our next song is all in tempo

3) we can use PC/CC to trigger volume controls in synths so that the intro and bridge can be much quieter than the chorus, we can also potentially control and fine-tune other parameters by midi cc to fit the song

Perhaps most importantly, these features would reduce reliance on additional apps (e.g., Camelot, MainStage). These apps are fantastic, well developed tools, yet as someone using an iPad for live performance, I love the idea of reducing the number of apps I need to rely on (i.e., the number of apps that can go wrong).

All that being said, I appreciate the minimalist nature of the app and recognize that things take time. I’m sure you have a whole list of suggestions to prioritize - please add these for consideration. Stay safe!

@kevin_627 love the ideas man. We had some of those on our cue list of tasks for 2020. Nevertheless, I like the option of not only sending program Changes but also Midi channels.
