For the song mode, if we have multiple progressions (e.g., Intro -> Verse -> Chorus) we need to press a button (▶ play) to advance through the chords within that progression, then when we get to the end of that section of the song, we need to press another button (▼ down) to move to the next progression.
Given that most songs have a fixed structure, it seems a bit silly to have to press a button to advance progressions when this could easily be automated by telling Dream Foot the number of repeats per progression.
The TONALY app does this, I pasted below some examples (I leave it to you to take the concept and make it look pretty, if implemented). It would be enough to set between 1-16 progressions, or infinite (∞), which may come in handy if there is a section of the song (like a solo or outro) that you usually jam out to and the repeats are not fixed. Each progression can be set to infinite by default so it will operate as the app does now unless the user specifies a number of repeats.
Of course with the upcoming "send midi messages on progression change" feature, this would need to change to the new progression when the user taps play on the final chord of the final repeat (and not earlier than that). Hope the suggestion helps!
