It could be nice being able to go directly to a song number using a MIDI program change command?
Ex.:
MSB 00
LSB 00
Bank 04
to go directly to song #4
Because I would like to use Dream Foot and control it using the BandHelper app.
Could it be possible to add this feature in Dream Foot?
Thanks!
Hi! It’s been a long time since this idea has been suggested…is there any progress or updates?
Has there been any progress with this? Alternatively, can Dreamfoot become a plug-in so that it can reside in a program like Camelot? Then Camelot can change the state of Dreamfoot when Camelot loads a song or scene.
I agree with you. 128 locations would be even better! 😊
I missed this post before, I wanted to suggest that you can make 128 slots (corresponding to PC1-128, or 0-127) in the setlist. My 16 slots are already full and I have more than 16 songs programmed. Perhaps 16 slots are visible at one time, but it automatically scrolls at the bottom as you progress through the list. Also, for editing you can allow the user to use a two finger gesture to scroll. You could also maybe display the non-active numbers in a dull color (instead of the dots now, so that when scrolling the user knows where he/she is) that is barely noticeable unless the user is looking at the setlist. Wish I saw this post earlier, I think I mentioned elsewhere that 16 slots is probably not enough. Hope it helps!
Sounds good to me!! 👍🏻
I see, If we add that feature it will be difficult for users to trigger the app with MIDI controllers that can only send program changes. I would have to think of a way to make that an advanced MIDI option. Would 16 PCs be enough for you guys? resembling the current 16 song playlist.
@Filipe Michael (CEO) @Simon Fortin Has this been implemented? I use a Selah Quartz on my pedal board to create setlists (controls HX Stomp, Boss VE-500, and iPad instruments), but I can't seem to get this feature to work. I've tried every MIDI channel, no luck.
Now that I'm beyond the "toying around" phase with Dream Foot, I'm setting it up for live performances. Without Program Changes for each song, it's difficult to integrate Dream Foot into a pedalboard that has a central MIDI controller (e.g., Disaster Area, Morningstar, Band Helper, OnSong etc).
Hopefully I'm missing something and this is a quick fix for me! Thanks and take care.
Hey Simon,
We love your ideas, and the answer is "yes".
The way I see that working, it's by having program changes (PC) triggering songs from the 16 song setlist. So the app would receive PRG Change 1 to trigger the first song of the list, Prog Change 5 to trigger the 5th song on the list.
We are currently finishing a very important Dream Foot update that has kept our team very busy.
We will put this idea on our list of updates for 2019.
Thanks for your feedback
